Marjorie Watters

Marjorie (Strahl) Watters, 92, of Danville passed away on Monday June 29th, 2015 with family by her side at Presence United Samaritans Hospital in Danville. Marjorie was born the daughter of Frank and Georgia (Watson) Strahl on July 16, 1922 in Danville. She married James Watters in 1943 in Chicago, he preceded her in death on February 22, 1997. Surviving Marjorie is one daughter; Cheryl (Mike) Pieper, four grandchildren; Zachary (Stacey) Pieper, Kimberlee and Lindsey Pieper and Jillian (Michael) Mohrfeld, four great grandchildren; Gavin and Ethan Pieper and Faye and Parker Mohrfeld, one brother; Edward Strahl, two sisters; Georgia Lee Hanciaux and Joanne Wells. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter Jeri Kaye Wickens, six sisters and two brothers. Marjorie was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, also the Education Association. She was an Elementary School teacher who enjoyed teaching and her students she also enjoyed traveling. Most of all she loved the time spent with family. A Celebration of Marjorie's life will be held at 11:30 am. on July 2, 2015 at Spring Hill Cemetery at the Mausoleum Chapel. Pastor James Blue will be officiating. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of Services. Memorials may be made to Smile Train in Marjorie's name.
