Marjorie Susan Reynolds

Marjorie Susan Reynolds, 93, of Danville, joined our Heavenly Father on October 23, 2016. Marjorie was born to Reva Odessa and William Franklin "Frank" Davis on April 6, 1923 in Armstrong, IL. She spent most of her adolescent years in Ellis, IL where her father owned a grain elevator. Marjorie met the love of her life, Kenneth "Ken" Earl Reynolds, while she was attending Armstrong High School. They were married on July 19, 1941 and shared 72 wonderful and blessed years together. Anyone who knew Marjorie would agree that she was a talented sewing enthusiast. Not only did she make a majority of her own clothes but Marjorie also designed outfits for her grandchildren, patched holes for many friends, and created decorative gifts to give away during the holidays. Marjorie dedicated countless hours to the service of her community and church. She worked at Sears for almost 20 years, volunteered in-classroom at a local elementary school, and continuously replenished the supplies at the church's Second Cup' caf. Marjorie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Bill Kuhn of Minden, NV; grandchildren, Denise Barnhart and Darcey Kuhn; two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a younger sister. Marjorie's husband, Ken, who called her his "sweet bunch of green onion tops," preceded her in death. A funeral service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center a Life Celebration Home in Danville on Saturday, October 29 at 1pm with a visitation to be held on Friday, October 28 from 4-7pm. Burial will be at 10am on Monday October 31, 2016 at Danville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Second Church of Christ in Marjorie's name.
