Marjorie Stewart

Marjorie (Hall) Stewart, 85, of Danville passed away at Colonial Manor on August 16, 2016. Marjorie was born January 13, 1931, the daughter of Harland & Mildred (Siebert) Hall in Wabash County, Illinois. She married George P. Stewart on October 15, 1950 in Wabash County, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1987. Marjorie is survived by two sons, Gary (Deana) Stewart of Saline, MI. and Greg (Kathie) Stewart of Morris, IL., one daughter; Brenda (Herb) Shuey of Westville, IL., one sister; Phyllis Blair, brother-in-law; Harry Wheatley, sister-in-law; Ersel Hall, five grandchildren; Matthew (Kristen) Shuey of Westville, Abby (Ryan) Wilkinson of Morris, Lindsey Stewart & Rachel Stewart of Ypsilanti, MI., Molly (Danny) Hoffman of Morris, five great-grandchildren; Lillian Shuey, Olivia, Marshall, and Grace Hoffman, Thomas Wilkinson and several nieces and nephews. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Donald, Galen & Robert Hall, and one sister; Sylvia Wheatley. Marjorie graduated from Allendale High School in Allendale, Illinois, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Danville, was the Past Matron and 50 year member of Iris Chapter #307 O.E.S. and retired from Danville Area Community College. She enjoyed her family, friends, church and clubs. Also volunteering at the hospital, bowling and being a member of the Red Hat Society. Memorials can be made in Marjorie's name to Danville Area Community Scholarship Fund or St. Jude's Children's Hospital. A celebration of Marjorie's life will be at 10am Monday August 22, 2016,at Sunset Funeral Home 3940 N Vermilion St, in Danville, burial will be following at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday August 21, 2016 at the funeral home 2-6pm with Eastern Star Service at 6.
