Danville- Marjorie P. Moorhous, 90, of Danville passed away at 3:30 AM on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home in Danville. She was born on January 21, 1922 in Perrysville, IN to Edgar T. and Matilda Wyer Trimble. She married Delbert W. Moorhous on August 31, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1987. Surviving is a daughter, Linda S. (Dan) Peoples of NC; several nieces and a nephew; and special friends, Doris Finley and Donna Dill. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Janice, two sisters, and three brothers. Marge had worked previously as a sales clerk at Meis Brothers, Danville Public Library, and City Hall. She was a long time member of First Church of Christ and then Cornerstone Church of Christ in Danville. Marge also enjoyed giving her time volunteering at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village, Hospice, and Provena United Samaritans Medical Center. A service to celebrate the life of Marjorie Moorhous will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Kevin Cox will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM prior to the service, also at Sunset in Danville. Memorials may be made to the Illini Children's Home, or Cornerstone Christian Church.
