Marjorie A. Kavanaugh, 95, passed away at her home, August 14, at 11: 45 am. She is now rejoicing her new life with her Lord and family. Marjorie was born January 25, 1913, and raising in the pioneering Fisher family of Indianola, Illinois. Preceding her in death were her parents Edward Mont Fisher and Ida Dell Maddox Fisher, her husband Thomas Kavanaugh, Sisters: Eva Swank, Gayle Moreland, & Armada Baker and Brother: Dean Fisher. She will be forever missed by her daughter Carol Holaves; and the apple of her eye that could do no wrong her grandson Michael Bratton; her nephews: John and Lee Fisher, John Moreland and Bill Swank, step daughter: Connie Kavanaugh Wood and step son: Larry Kavanaugh plus family and friends. Marjorie was a graduate of Indianola High School, and her and her husband owned and operated the Big 4 Tavern in Danville for many years. She attended St. James Methodist Church for several years and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, traveling, an occasional martini and watching T.V., especially golf but above all, she loved being with her family. A Celebration of Marjories Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, August 18, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Lee Fisher officiating. The family will receive friends 45 minutes prior the service. After a private committal service, she will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Indianola. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Marjories name to Carle Hospice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com
