Marion Stevens

Marion C. Stevens, of Champaign, passed peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday (September 20, 2023) at Carle Foundation Hospital. She eagerly sprinted to heaven to the loving embrace of her husband, Earl.

Marion, born April 27, 1957, in Hamilton, Ontario, dedicated her life to helping rescue dogs and was proud to be a big part of Mobile Mutts Rescue Transport. In 1998, Marion met Earl, and the two married in 1999. They grew ever closer throughout their 24 years together and shared a great passion for dog rescue. Marion and Earl made it their mission to give every dog a home and dedicated years of hard work to their cause.

Marion is survived by her sons Michael (Erica), Paul (Ashley), Bryan (Kelli), and Mark (Sarah); her siblings Sam and Terri; her grandchildren Alyssa and Chloe; and her beloved cat Monet. Marion was predeceased by her parents, Theresa and Bill; her loving husband, Earl; and her many dogs that crossed the rainbow bridge before her.

A celebration of life for Marion will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 4pm-8pm at Moore's Rescue Ranch 3113 N Market St, Champaign. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Mobile Mutts Rescue or Moore's Rescue Ranch, two dog rescues that Marion loved.
