Marion O. Pearman

Newport, Ind. - Marion O. Pearman, 69, of Newport, passed away at 9:50 p.m. EST Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at his residence.

He was born December 1, 1949 in Clinton, Indiana the son of the late Samuel O. and Marybelle (Ory) Pearman.

Marion married Debbie L. Balding on March 18, 1972 in Newport, Indiana. She survives.

Other survivors include his son: Matt (Angie Johnson) Pearman of Newport, Indiana; mother-in-law: Jackie Balding of Newport, Indiana; five grandchildren: Ethan, Camden and Ava Pearman, Linzi and Gage Woodard, and two sisters: Joyce Delph of Clinton, Indiana and Della Rainey of Newport, Indiana.

Marion was preceded in death by his sister: Patty Greathouse, and brother: Sammy Pearman.

Marion retired from the GM Tilton Foundry in 1993. He was a 1968 graduate of North Vermillion High School and a member of the Newport Friends Church. Marion enjoyed fishing, collecting coins, playing baseball/softball, pickleball, Chicago Bears football, New York Yankees baseball and Indiana University basketball. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren sports.

Funeral service: 2 p.m. EST Sunday, November 24, 2019 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastors' Ramona and Paul Trover; Burial: Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana; Visitation: 11 a.m. EST Sunday, November 24, 2019 until time of services at the funeral home.
