Marilyn W. Eichhorn, 77, of Danville, died at 7:35 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2007, at her residence. Marilyn was born April 8, 1930, in Danville, the daughter of Hershel V. and Mabel (Mauck) Gillis. She married Lewis A. Wodetski on June 12, 1949 in Danville and he preceded her in death on October 7, 1980. Marilyn then married Sanford R. Eichhorn on April 30, 1983 in Danville. He survives. Marilyn is survived by one son, Tim (Katie) Wodetzki of Sacramento, CA; four daughters, Cindy (Carl) Leonard of Lexington, KY, Kay (Yona) Golan of Carmichael, CA, Nancy (Larry) Shaw of Carmichael, CA and Julie (Curt) Rossknecht of Lincoln, NE; one step-son, Casey Eichhorn of Lafayette, IN; one step-daughter, Carol (Gerry) Hambley of Overland Park, KS; one sister, Beverly Danner of Fairfax, VA; six grandchildren, Anne Wodetzki, Jennifer Wodetzki, Mathew Leonard, Sarah Hambley, Carter Hambley, and Emma Hambley and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Marilyn was a graduate of Danville High School. She was a very active member of St. James United Methodist Church, where she was involved in the 3M Sunday school class and the United Methodist Womens Club. She loved to read and travel and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. A memorial service for Marilyn will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Marilyns name to the American Diabetes Association at P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
