Marilyn Kay Hoshauer

Danville - Marilyn Kay Hoshauer, 79, of Potomac, passed away on January 17, 2015 at Country Health Care and Rehab in Gifford, Illinois. Marilyn was born on July 24, 1935 in Danville, IL, the oldest daughter of Clyde and Harriet Gibson Schmink. She married Dale Hoshauer on September 26, 1953 in Danville, Illinois. Marilyn is survived by her husband, Dale, and four children, Su Takala of Potomac, Bill Hoshauer of Las Vegas, NV, Kathy (Jeff) Weber of Terre Haute, IN, and Kristi (Garry) Hawker of Potomac. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Garrett and Shannon Hoshauer, Trent and Lauren Hawker, and Hannah Weber. Also surviving are sisters Gwen Karzon of Danville and Flo Ann (Carl) Hoshauer of Potomac, and a brother Clyde Lee “Butch” Schmink of San Francisco, CA. Marilyn was employed at Chanute AFB, Rantoul, IL, for over 29 years and retired when the base was closed. She was a member of Northland Christian Church. Funeral services for Marilyn Hoshauer will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Dale DeNeal will officiate. Burial will follow at Potomac Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12-2 PM prior to the services, also at Sunset in Danville.
