Marilyn Joanne Sloop

Marilyn Joanne Sloop, 71, of Danville, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at 3:50 a.m. on Saturday, December 25, 2004. She was born January 31, 1933 in Lafayette, Indiana, the daughter of Monte and Mabel (Kirts) Miller. She married Joe Sloop on February 11, 1956 in Attica, Indiana. Joe preceded her in death on January 22, 1993. Marilyn is survived by: 2 Sons- David (Shirley) Sloop of Danville; Steve Sloop of South Bend, IN; 1 Daughter- Sharon Lewis of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Her parents, husband and 1 Daughter- Bonnie Shaeffer preceded her in death. She had worked in the Laundry at St. Elizabeth until her retirement in 1993. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and loved to read.
