Marilyn 'Janie' Allen

Marilyn "Janie" Allen, 74, of Covington, passed away at 1:57pm, Saturday, October 3, 2020, at her home with her nephew, Joe & Holly Conner. She was born in Fountain County, IN, on November 19, 1945, the daughter of James and Lucille {Davis} Ping. She was united in marriage to Thomas Allen on March 3, 1972, until his passing.

Janie is survived by her brother, Darryl {Liz} Ping and her sister, Ruthann Cook, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Tom, her brothers, Luther, Willard, Walter, & Orville Ping; her sisters, Lulabelle Mycroft, & her twin, Carolyn {Ping} Ridge.

Janie worked at IGA in Covington for many years, as well as waited tables at Mikes Colony Parkway. She loved to read and play Sudoko. She also loved to be outdoors and go mushroom hunting. She held a special place in her heart for her dog, Baby. The family would like to send a special thank you to Elara Caring Hospice for their care through this time.

As were her wishes, Janie will be cremated. There are no services scheduled at this time.
