Marilyn Ann White, 81, of Danville, passed away at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville. She was born on February 19, 1930, in Danville to Matthew and Ruby (Parks) OKeefe. Both are deceased. She was a long life resident of Danville. She married William Otis Jarrett and was blessed with one daughter Susan. She later married Robert G. White, whom preceded her in death on August 7, 2004. She is survived by her daughter; Susan (Jerry) Grimes of Danville, three grandchildren; Chad Grimes of Palatine, IL, Amber (Jacob) Tutwiler, and Ryan Grimes, both of Danville; two great grandchildren; Ethan and Ella Tutwiler. Marilyn also leaves behind one nephew; Michael (Alma) OKeefe of Glen Ellyn, IL, two nieces; Kathy (Larry) Morgan, Linda (Scott) Cook, and a very special friend Shirley Wilson, all of Danville. In addition to her parents, and husband, Bob, her brother, Charles OKeefe, also preceded Marilyn in death. Marilyn was a member of the Abundant Life Church, and work for Morris Flamingo in Danville, and later was a homemaker. She loved her grand children, and great-grandchildren. She had many friends whom she spent many hours with on the phone. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation for the wonderful care provided to their mom by the staff at Colonial Manor. A Celebration of the Life of Marilyn Ann White will begin at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, located at 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pastor James Ford has been asked to officiate the service. Visitation will be from 4-7pm on Monday, April 11, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorial condolences may be made in Marilyns name to Provena USMC Cancer Center of Danville.
