Marilyn Ann Mayfield Greear passed away on January 25, 2018 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri. She was born August 10, 1926 to Charles and Marie Mayfield, graduated from Danville High School, and lived most of her life in Danville. Marilyn married Richard Greear from Danville in 1952 and had a daughter, Debra Ann in 1955. Marilyn managed the downtown Fannie May Candy store for many years. She had many friends, listened to music, played with her beagle dogs Taffy and Penny, and belonged to Central Christian Church. Marilyn and Richard enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren, Zach and Becky, and seeing country music shows in Branson, Missouri. Marilyn moved to Rolla, Missouri when Richard passed in 2007 to be close to her daughter Debra and her new great granddaughter Makenzie. Marilyn made new friends and engaged in many activities at Wellington Place and Parkside Assisted Living. She became quite a bingo champ during her decade in Rolla. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie and Charles Mayfield, her husband Richard Greear, her sister Margaret Rohrer from Danville, and her brother Bill Mayfield from Springfield, Illinois. Marilyn is survived by her daughter Debra Robinson from Rolla, Missouri, her granddaughter Becky Folkmann from Washington, Missouri, her grandson Zach Robinson, and her great granddaughter Makenzie Robinson from Rolla, Missouri. Graveside services will be held at Springhill Cemetery in Danville at 9 am on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Arrangements are being handled by Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, IL.
