Marie Martin

Marie Martin, 90, of Tilton passed away on February 14, 2011 at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home. Marie was born on June 1, 1920 in Danville daughter of Adolph and Autonett (Hanniqun) Mariage. She married Jessie F. Martin in 1939; he preceded her in 1962. Survivors include a daughter Shirley Gorham and grandson Ernest Allen Butch Gorham both of Tilton. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings. Marie attended Danville Schools and worked for 25 years at M. Snower and later retired from the Danville VA Hospital after 20 years. She was a loving and dedicated homemaker. A Celebration of Maries Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home 3940 N.
