Marie Cotton

Marie Ann Cotton, 73, of Danville, died at 12:10 p.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2007, at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home in Tilton. She was born March 29, 1934 in Danville, the daughter of Earl H. and Violet O. (Masters) Johnson. Marie married Richard E. Cotton, Sr. on September 8, 1951 in Bradford, PA and he preceded her in death on April 2, 1987. Marie is survived by three sons, Robert Cotton of Wiersdale, FL, Richard (Lisa) Cotton, Jr. of Sanford, FL and Gene (Kathy) Cotton of Columbus, OH; one daughter, Cynthia (Raymond) Zumwalt of Danville; one brother, Gene (Jennie) Johnson of Danville; one sister, Bertha Leftwitch of Danville; eleven grandchildren, Robert Cotton, Jr., Jessica, Amy, Angel, Mylena, Sheila Marie, Angela, Jammie and Nate Cotton, Charles Hagan and Nicole Abdelghani; nineteen great-grandchildren; two special nieces, Diane Grimes and Beki Cronkhite both of Danville; two special nephews, Richard Anders and Lee Cronkhite both of Danville and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Brenda Abdelghani; seven brothers, Donald, James, Harland, Ivan, Lloyd, Johnnie, and George Johnson and two sisters, Betty Hart and Eva Pearl Johnson. Marie had worked at Petersen "Puritan. She loved shopping and going out to eat with her big sister, Bertha Leftwitch. Marie enjoyed watching T.V., especially TBN, taking care of her grandkids and spending time at all family functions. Private family services were held.
