Marie Collins

Marie Collins , 83, of Zephyrhills, FL, died on February 27, 2016, in Morganton, NC. Marie was born to Harry and Ethyl Smalley of Danville, Il. She married Everett Collins of Danville, IL on March 13, 1947. Marie worked at General Electric and Windbreaker in Danville, IL. Marie loved to fish and travel. She particularly enjoyed growing plants and orchids. She was a wonderful housewife and traveling companion. She loved her children and grand-children, and her husband. Marie is survived by her loving family, which consists of 6 children, Gary (Carol) Collins of North Port, FL, Thomas (Sylvia) Collins of Miller Beach, IN, Diana (Joseph) Parker of Morganton, North Carolina, Cynthia (David) Pyle of Hamler, OH, Lonnie (Janice) Collins of Vale, North Carolina, and David (Cathy) Collins of Scottsdale, AZ; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great, great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett, on February 8, 2013. Marie is greatly missed by her family. A celebration of Marie and Everett's life will be held November 12, 2016, graveside, at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, IL.
