Marianne M. Broady

Indianapolis, Ind. -- Marianne M. Broady, 81, of Indianapolis and formerly of Newport and Quaker, Indiana, passed away at 11:13 p.m. EDT Saturday, July 10, 2010 at St. Francis South Medical Center in Indianapolis. She was born July 26, 1928 in Quaker, Indiana, the daughter of the late William McKinley and Mary Alice Hutchins Moore. She married Joe Broady on July 8, 1951 in Quaker, Indiana. He survives. Other survivors include her daughter, Kelly Jo Broady of Indianapolis, Indiana; granddaughter, Kristen Ann Broady of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sisters, Martha Moore of Covington, Indiana and Vera Naylor of Newport, Indiana. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Ed Moore. Marianne retired as a secretary from Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis in 1994. She was a 1946 graduate of Newport High School. She enjoyed oil painting and attended many craft shows where she would sell her art work. Funeral services: 10 a.m. EDT Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Dr. Andy Spencer; Burial: Thomas Cemetery in Newport, Indiana; Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. EDT Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the funeral home.
