Danville Marian "Mickey" Olga Seidler, 88, of Danville, passed away at 7:53 AM on Friday, May 26, 2023 at her home. She was born May 15, 1935 in Danville to Edward R. and Olga A. (Sadewasser) Timm. She now joins her beloved husband of 61 years, married July 1, 1956, William "Bill" Raymond Seidler, who preceded her in death on May 13, 2018.
She is survived by three nephews, Mike (Chris) Kroll, Bruce (Judy) Seidler, and Steve (Judy) Seidler; two nieces, Susan (Rich) Batten and Connie (Dale) Carlton; and three cousins, Jim Corbeil, Jake Bireley, and Marlene Schroeder.
In addition to her husband, Mickey was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings and their spouses, Wayne (Irene) Timm and Barb (Dave) Kroll.
Mickey was a graduate of Danville High School and St. Elizabeth College of Nursing. She cared for many others as a Registered Nurse in the OB department Nursery at Lakeview Hospital for 28 years. There, Mickey was involved with developing the first Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the area.
Before she and Bill were married, Mickey and her family were members of Saint Johns Evangelical and Reformed Church in Danville. A Bible in her mothers name was presented to the church which still sits on the altar to this day.
After She and Bill were married, they were faithful members of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville where she served in the Womens Guild, Altar Guild, and the Handbell Choir.
In Bill and Mickeys lives, they genuinely shared their love for each other and God, by obedience to God as their first priority. They walked the talk and, by their lifes action, showed that on a daily basis. God had not given her biological children, but she shared her love with her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She also shared that love with the babies that she cared for in the nursery, keeping in touch with many of those families. She and Bill also loved to travel and would enjoy taking in all of Gods and natures gifts.
