Marian L. Hoover, 83, of Danville, passed away at 6:28am on Friday, December 31, 2010 at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born in Danville, IL, on August 11, 1927, the daughter of Estel and Dorothy (Sullivan) Cox. On July 20, 1946, Marian married Everett Hoover at the First Church of Christ in Danville. She is survived by her husband, Everett, of 64 years, and their three children, Terry (Kathy) Hoover of Danville, Steven (Mindy) Hoover of Bismarck, and Sherry Taylor of Danville. Her nine grandchildren, Stacey (Brad) Black of Danville, Matt Taylor of Danville, Jonathan Hoover , Justin (Rebecca) Hoover , Caleb (Amber ) Hoover all of Terra-Haute, IN, Tyler and Hanna Hoover of Bismarck, Jason (Anetta) Hoover of Florida, and Michilyn (Tim) Pickett of New Mexico also survive her, as well as her ten great-grandchildren, Addison and Alaina Allee, Mackenzie and Alyssa Pickett, Benjamin and Sam Hoover, Emmit, Ella, Emily, Evan Hoover, her sister, Jean Rosnett of Danville, and fifteen very special first cousins. Marian was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church in Danville and a Danville High School graduate. She was a beloved home maker that enjoyed sewing. She treasured her time spent being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas, making quilts for every member of the family, and was known as Grandma Pink by all her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her. A Celebration of the Life of Marian Hoover will began at 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, located at 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville with Rev. Tiffany Black officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00am until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
