Marian 'Eloise' Thompson

Marian Eloise Thompson, 80, Danville, IL passed away December 27, 2006 at Watseka Hospital. She was born March 27, 1926 in Rossville daughter of Charles Russell and Jennifer Josephine Green McBride. She married Elmer Arthur Thompson on February 14, 1948 at the Rossville Methodist Church. He preceded her on July 9, 2006. Survivors include: two sons: Michael Thompson (Neddy) of Shoreview, MN and Kenneth Thompson (Suzanne) of Danville, IL. Four grandchildren: Chad Thompson (Jane) and their children: Maze, Phoenix, River, and Zoe; Kyle Thompson (Chanda) and their son Sage all of Shoreview, MN; Kimberly Thompson and her children: Cody Thompson, Tessa & Jakob England, & Grace Dickinson all of Danville; Shane Thompson (Erica) and their son Bryce all of Springfield, IL. Brother Charles McBride of Montana, two sisters: Imogene Milner and Lillie Belle Richart (Robert) both of Hoopeston, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and Brother Gordon. Eloise graduated from Rossville High School and was a dedicated homemaker. She enjoyed playing Bunko, quilting, camping, and most of all her grandchildren & great grandchildren. A Celebration of Eloises life will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, December 30, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center; 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville, with Rev. Jim Blue officiating. Visitation will be held from 9-10 am Saturday morning at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
