Marian E. Hinman, 80, of Covington, died on July 23, 2013 peacefully at her home. She was born on March 3, 1933 near Ambia, IN. She was the daughter of the late Homer Davis and Ruth Slater Davis. She married Norman Hari on October 4, 1952. They had two children Kevin Hari and Pamela Hari Allison. The children both survive. In 1972 she graduated from Ivy Tech as an L.P.N. She was a charge nurse at Danville Care North for a few years before retiring due to ill health. On October 5, 1974 she married Gerald Hinman of Catlin, IL. He survives. Her special interests were horseback riding and oil painting. She attended Coopers Chapel Church but hadnt attended in awhile due to ill health. She has two step children, Melba (Scott) Marron of Danville, IL and Bruce (Brenda) Hinman of Westville, IL. She has six grandchildren, three step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. Alyssa Hari, Katie Hari and Eli Hari, all of Lafayette. Jennifer Allison, Theodore Allison and Benjamin Allison all of Covington. Brandy (Michael) Williams of Westville, IL and James Robert Hinman of Danville, IL. She had two sisters, Clellah (Russell) Jackson of Tab, IN and Dorothy (Wayne) Shepard of Hoopeston, IL, two brothers, Harold (Lavene) Davis of Williamsport, Donald (Judy) Davis of Ambia, IN and one step granddaughter Miranda Smith all preceded her in death. She has one surviving brother, William (Marilyn) Davis of Williamsport, IN. A Celebration of Marians Life will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Sunsets Covington Chapel at 11:00 AM EST with Andy Harkleroad officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 PM EST at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Coal Creek Cemetery in Covington.
