Marian Disney

Marian Deane Disney, 61, of Oakwood, IL, died at 9:06 am on Monday, January 30, 2006 at her home. She was born July 5, 1944 in Danville, IL the daughter of Vernon and Thelma (McBride) Francis. She married Allen Wayne Disney on September 8, 1963 in Danville, Indiana. He survives. Marian is also survived by her mother Thelma Spencer of Fithian, IL ; one son: Cary (Michelle) Disney of Clayton, North Carolina; one daughter: Staci (Jim) Walker of Oakwood, IL; one brother: Jeff (Jennifer) Francis of Oakwood, IL; four grandchildren: Jaynie and Jessica Disney and Clayton and Riley Walker; and numerous friends especially her church family. She was preceded in death by her father Vernon and stepfather Paul Spencer. Marian was a graduate of Oakwood High School. She was a homemaker most of her life. Marian also worked for the Oakwood Township, the United Community Bank of Oakwood and sold Mary Kay. She was a member of the Believers United in Christ Church of Oakwood. She enjoyed doing needlepoint, crocheting, calligraphy, painting, knitting, quilting, and gardening. She was very active in her church and loved her cats and dogs.
