Margo Leahy

Margo Leahy, 70, of Danville passed away on February 15, 2008 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. Margo was born May 19, 1937 in Danville daughter of Robert and Cleo Ramshaw McMurray. She married Thomas Leahy Jr. on February 19, 1966 in Danville. He preceded her on August 11th. of 2000. Surviving are four children: Kathryn Leahy of Bismarck, Ruth Leahy of Danville, Thomas Leahy III of Danville, and Steven Leahy of Fort Worth, TX. brother: Robert (Glenda) McMurray and their son Michael; sister-in-laws: Ellin Foley and Martha Leahy; nieces Liz & Laura. She was preceded in death by her parents. Margo was a 55 graduate of Danville High School and a 58 graduate of Lakeview College of Nursing. She worked in the Chicago area as a Registered Nurse for several years; returning to Danville in 1966 and worked at the Danville VA Hospital as a RN until she retired in 1999. She was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church in Danville for a number of years, and spent her free time being a dedicated and loving mother. A private Celebration of Margos Life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Father Greg Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum in Danville.
