Margery M. Billman-Summers, 87 of Tilton, passed away at 12:35pm on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born on December 18, 1924, in Danville, the daughter of Fremont F. and Ruby R. (Salmans) Walters. Both are deceased. On November of 1945, Margery married Jack D. Billman. He preceded her in death on October 19th 1975. She later married Delmar W. Summers in December of 1983 until his passing on Jan 1993. Survivors include three children; Bruce L. (Bobbi) Billman, Steve (Laura) Billman, and Julie (Ron) Cheesman. Her ten grandchildren; Tammy Eldridge, Tracy Branson, Jack (Cara) Billman, Steve Billman, Christina (Bobby) Ray, Michael Cheesman, Jackson Billman, Rylie Cheesman, Brooklynn Cheesman, five great-grandchildren; Drew Eldridge, Brady Billman, Aaron Billman, Aleya Hernandez, Alysa Hernandez, several step- children, step-grandchild, and step-great-grandchildren, two brothers; Monty (Pat) Walters, Tom Walters, four sisters; Betty Swartz, Beverly Cundiff, Helen Cunningham, and Ruth Ann Harden, as well as her special friend, Minnie. In addition to her parents and both husbands, Margery is preceded in death by her brother, Jack Walters, sisters, Marquette Blue, and Mary Jane Smith. She was a graduate of Danville High School. She worked for Priceless Foods in Danville, later worked for K-mart until her retirement, as well as volunteering at Provena USMC in Danville I the I.C.U. waiting room. Margery was a member of the Danville United Church of Christ, the GAO Gratto as a greeter. She loved being with her children, grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and traveling. She will be missed by all that knew her. A Celebration of Life Service for Margery M. Summers has been scheduled for 10:00am on Monday, April 2, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, located at 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pastor Connie Moody has been asked to officiate the service. Visitation will be from 2-6pm on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorial donations be made in Margery name to the Danville United Church of Christ.
