Margery King

Margery L. King, 60, of Fithian, IL passed away November 18, 2006 at home from metastatic breast cancer. She was born October 30, 1946 in Danville, daughter of Howard and Gertrude (Ruda) Kentner. She married Dennis King on May 25, 1968 in Danville. He survives along with their two sons: Dr. Kevin (Dr. Kim Le) King of Champaign & Dr. Darrin (Sherrie) King of Lakeville, MN; Brother: John (Annetta) Kentner of Danville; Mother in Law; Mary King of Fithian; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Margery was a 1964 graduate of Schlarman High School. She worked as a secretary for Centennial High School, Cooper-Randall Real Estate, and retired after 26 years as a teachers aide for Oakwood School District. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Society and was an avid reader of romance and mystery novels. A Celebration of Margerys life will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center; 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Mausoleum in Danville. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
