Margaret Wonderlin

Margaret L. Wonderlin, 81, of Danville, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center. She was born in Danville on August 16, 1940, the daughter of Asa and Mildred Edwards. On July 11, 1958, Margaret married the love of her life, Rodney Wonderlin, he survives.

Margaret is also survived by her daughters, Kathy (Scott) Moore, Joni Pilkington, Kelley Gettleman; grandchildren, Tyler Bailey, Shay (Justin Spandau) Bailey, Zachary (Emily Richardson) Moore, Jennifer (Kevin) Rupp, Abby Manning, Bethany Ritter, Karah (Lucas) Sturm, Kody (Shayne Cassidy) Gettleman; great-grandchildren, Madison (Jared Cox) Bailey, Olivia Bailey, Izaiah Forrest, Karsen Rupp, Jakob Rupp, Rylan Manning, Lucas Manning, Harper Manning, Haylee Ritter, Addilyn Sturm, Violet Sturm and one on the way; great-great-grandson, Jaxon Cox; brothers, Phillip (Judy) Edwards, Robert (Cheryl) Edwards; sisters, Jane Culp and Mary (James) Ruwe.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Asa and Mildred; infant son, Todd Allen; three brothers, Asa Edwards, Thomas Edwards, Kenneth Edwards and son-in-law, Dwayne Gettleman.

Margaret is a graduate of Oakwood High School and was a member of the Batestown United Methodist Church in Danville. She enjoyed collecting hummingbirds and carnival glass. Margaret truly loved her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

A Celebration of Margarets life will be held at 11am on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 with Pastor Randy Robinson officiating. Visitation will be held immediately prior to the service from 9am to 11am at the funeral home. Following the service Margaret will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Danville.

Memorial donations may be made in Margarets name to the Batestown United Methodist Church or the Alzheimers Association.
