Margaret Thompson

Danville - Margaret Thompson, 73, of Danville passed away at her home at 7:50 AM on May 7, 2021.

Margaret was born on July 29, 1947 the daughter of George and Gloria (Correll) Kew in Yuma, AZ. She married Thomas Thompson on February 20, 1978 in Las Vegas, NV and he survives of Danville, IL.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Thompson of Danville, her son, Richard (Ami) Thompson of Indianapolis, IN, her daughter, Susan Kew of Alvin, IL, her brother, Martin (Vera) Scott of Delphi, IN and her two sisters, Cherry Thomas of Danville, IL and Shannon (Keith) Burwell of Delphi, IN, five grandchildren, Jesse (Amanda) Craig of Melvin, IL, Ashley Terrell of Oakwood, IL, Dale (Kara) Terrell of Tilton, IL, and Michael Thompson and Margaret Thompson both of Indianapolis, IN, four great grandchildren, Hunter Craig, Easton Terrell, Carlie Craig and Spencer Terrell as well as many special friends.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents.

Margaret was very competitive and enjoyed spending her free time playing various card games including, Euchre, Skipbo, PhaseTen as well as others. She also enjoyed watching movies, was an avid reader in her younger days, and loved salads and blackberry pie. Margaret was dearly loved by all her family and friends, especially for kindness and her great sense of humor and she loved them all very much.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61832. Patti Wise will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 5:00 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

It is kindly requested that those in attendance of the visitation or service wear a mask and practice social distancing.
