Margaret Ruth High

Danville- Margaret Ruth High, 96, of Danville passed away at 5:25 AM on November 15, 2012 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center. She was born on March 9, 1916 in Danville to John B. and Myrtle Thatcher Pichon. She married Noble High on February 21, 1936 in Covington, IN. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1991. Surviving are a son, John Allen (Catherine) High, Sr. of Danville; two grandsons, John (Stacy) High, Jr. and Eric (Casie) High; four great-grandchildren, Mason, Gavin, Adisen, and Avery; and several special nieces. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, James H. High, three sisters, and two brothers. Margaret had previously worked at the Burger Chef Drive-In, and was the office manager at Miller Machine and Tool Company. She loved staying active and was a die-hard Cubs fan. Margaret was also very involved at Faith Baptist Church, at which she had been a member since 1967. A service to celebrate the life of Margaret High will be held at 10 AM on Monday, November 19, 2012 at Faith Baptist Church in Danville. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Pastor Allan Rudie will officiate. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 PM on Sunday, November 18 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville.
