Margaret 'Peggie' Jones

Margaret (Peggie) Nadine Jones, 77, of Danville, passed away peacefully at 1:27 p.m. April 1, 2015, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Peggie was born on August 11, 1937, in Trenton, New Jersey and moved to Danville when she was in elementary school and graduated from Danville High School in 1955. While in high school, Peggie met the love of her life, Wayne Jones, and married him on June 12, 1955. Peggies life was full of love with the happiest time spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren. Peggie is survived by her children, Teri (James) Humrichous of Chrisman, IL., Eric (Margie) Jones of Danville, IL., Scott (Michael) Jones of Madison, WI., and Jason (Nancy) Jones of Glendale, AZ; grandchildren, Molly (Frank) Mulholland, Seth Humrichous, Wyatt Humrichous, Anna Humrichous, Matthew Jones, Sarah Jones, Hailey Jones, Chase Jones, and Luke Jones; great grandchildren, Eli Jones and Vivian Mulholland. In addition to her family, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Wilma Trankina and several nieces and nephews. Peggie is preceded in death by her parents, Dudley Williams and Helen Williams Schmidt, and her sister, Anita Price. Peggie enjoyed the various facets of her life. In 1967, she and Wayne joined the Faith Baptist Church. She loved being actively involved in the church by spending time with her church family, organizing various events, and by preparing meals for families during times of need. As many came to know, Peggie loved to entertain and to cook. A service to celebrate Peggies life will be held at noon Saturday, April 4th at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. She will be laid to rest following services at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friend for two hours prior to visitation Saturday at the funeral home.
