Margaret O'Herron

TILTON- Margaret OHerron, 91, of Tilton, passed away at 6:15am on Monday, July 21, 2008 at Provena USMC in Danville. She was born on November 19, 1916, in Danville, the daughter of Norman and Ethel (Pate) Spencer, both deceased. Margaret married Prince OHerron on December 29, 1940, in Danville. He preceded her in death in October of 2002. She is survived by her son; Clarence (Karen) OHerron of Tilton, two grandsons: Shane (Amber) OHerron, and Shawn (Amanda) OHerron, both of Danville. One step-grandson; Richard (Janet) Jones of Westville, one step-granddaughter; Kim Prunkard of Danville, two great-granddaughters; Kaitlynn OHerron and Katlin OHerron, and a great-grandson due in August. Margaret attended the First Congregational Church in South Danville, as well as Grant School. She graduated from Danville High School in 1936. She worked at the former St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, F.W. Woolworth, and Scotts Store, both of Danville. She became a member of the former Central Park United Methodist Church in Danville in 1943, which now is the First United Methodist Church in Danville. Margaret was kind to everyone she met and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Everyone who knew her loved her, and she was a blessing to all.
