Margaret Morris

Margaret Louise Morris, age 80, of Danville died at 2:20 am on Friday, July 20, 2007 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, IL. She was born January 24, 1927 in Danville the daughter of Frank and Florence (Cook) Williams. Margaret married Robert Thomas Morris on October 7, 1955. He preceded her in death in August 2004. Also preceding her in death was her parents, one brother: Estel Williams, a sister: Elizabeth (Williams) Hanson and one nephew: Frank Hanson. She is survived by her son: Steve Morris of Schaumburg, IL. and three nieces: Darla (Hanson) Hageman, Cyndy (Williams) Hendrickson, Susan (Williams) Wilk. Margaret was a 1944 graduate of Danville High School and studied art at the University of Illinois. She worked as a designer and artist for Gasthoff Display and later R & G Display, retiring in 1989. Margaret was a lifelong member of Central Christian Church and met her husband there in Sunday school. She took much pride in the home that her husband and she built just after they were married. She liked growing flowers, fruits and vegetables and also enjoyed crocheting, quilting, needle point, cross word puzzles, feeding the Humming Birds and cooking for her husband and son. A celebration of the life of Margaret Louise Morris will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 28, 2007 in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park with Reverend Ronald Ziemer officiating.
