Margaret Meeker

Champaign- Margaret Meeker, of Savoy IL passed away on July 12, 2017 she was 97 years old. Margaret was born on August 30, 1919 in Ontario Canada the daughter of John and Margaret Hall. On June 2, 1944 she married Russell Meeker in Washington DC. he precedes her in death. Margaret proudly served in the Canadian Army, was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary, she enjoyed playing cards with her friends every Monday, she also loved to bake, her sugar cookies were her specialty. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Margaret is survived by her son; Norman Meeker (Carol), daughter; Michele Jacoby (Richard), daughters in law; Ruth, Carol, and Mary as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sons; Gordon Hall, Russell W. Meeker Jr, Wayne B. Meeker, son in law; Richard Jacoby, five brothers and four sisters.
