Margaret Maskel

Margaret J. Maskel, 97, of Danville, passed away at 6:20am, Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at North Logan Health Care, Danville. She was born on May 22, 1922 in Newport, Indiana the daughter of Audry and Mary {Anderson} Fultz. She was united in marriage to Jess Maskel in 1953 until his passing.

Margaret is survived by: her daughters, Sallie Williams of Georgetown and Debra (Jeffrey) Rushin of Danville; her daughter-in-law, Kay Meeker of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Juanita Williams, Steven (Jessica) Williams, Karla (Darrin) Morgan, Jamie (Dina) Meeker, Katy Rushin, Jamie (Dina) Meeker, Jessica (Greg) Rushin Jaeger, Jacob (Ashley Pribyl) Rushin; her brothers-in-law, Charles Maskel and Billy Don Maskel; her 7 great grandchildren; her 16 great-great grandchildren; and her 3 great-great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son, Harry Gaylord Meeker.

Margaret graduated high school and worked at Tee-Pak for 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed her memberships with the Georgetown American Legion Auxiliary, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Georgetown United Methodist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at 1:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846.
