Margaret M. Mccain

Margaret M. McCain, 93, of Covington passed away with her family by her side on Thursday June 11, 2020 at her home. Margaret was born the daughter of Harrison and Lula Richards in Danville on September 17, 1926. Margaret married Hugh McCain and raised children together. Hugh preceded her in death on October 10, 2002.

Margaret leaves behind her seven children; Mike (Eideth) Valangeon, Gary (Lynn) Valangeon, Robin (Fred) Short, Mark (Irene) Valangeon, Tracy Shuman and Less Winters, Tina (LeRoy) Tibbet and Fran (Tom) Swenson, lots of grandchildren, great grandchildren and even some great great grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Paul Valangeon, one daughter, Debra Kay Voorhees and her siblings.

Margaret enjoyed gardening working with flowers, cooking for her family, playing Bingo or cards with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband Hugh and also fishing. Most of all she enjoyed just being with her family.

A Celebration of Margarets life will be held at 1pm est, on Sunday June 14, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington, Indiana, 420 3rd street Covington, Indiana 47932. With burial to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington. A visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the Celebration on Sunday June 14, 2020 from 11am 1pm est.
