Margaret Kay Mitchell

Danville - Margaret Kay Mitchell, 81, of Danville passed away at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL at 6:10 AM on July 31, 2018. Margaret was born on April 18, 1937 the daughter of Issac and Edith (Henning) Davis in Fithian, IL. She married Charles Walter Boys in October 1955 and he preceded her in death. Together they had five children whom she is survived by:one son; Dean (Lynn) Boys of Danville, IL, four daughters; Debbie (Ron) Wernick of Henning, IL, Lori (Bob) King of Cissna Park, IL, Robyn (Scott) Maxey of Beaufort, SC and Tina (Lance) Deck of Rossville, IL, twelve grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren also survive. She later married Hugh Mitchell in May of 1967 and they were married for over 27 years before he preceded her in death. Margaret is preceded in death by her two husbands and two brothers; Donnie Davis and Robert Davis. Also a very special aunt Dorothy Moore. She leaves behind a friend Stella Bailey that she enjoyed spending special time together. Also survived by one cousin Launita Collins of Ohio. Margaret was a homemaker and enjoyed crafting, playing BINGO, reading, working word search books and spending time with her family. Memorials can be made to the activity fund at Bowman Estates in Danville. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday August 2, 2018 at Stearns Cemetery in rural Fithian. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, IL is assisting the family with arrangements. Pastor Tracy Larr officiate.
