Margaret K. Ball- Cox passed away on January 22, 2022 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville. She was born a daughter of Roscoe and Nettie Tingler on October 26, 1923 in Big Springs, West Virginia.
Margaret married Donald Ball in July of 1943. He preceded her in May of 1991. She then married Leonard Cox in May of 1994, who also preceded her in November of 2011.
Margaret is reunited in death with her parents, her husbands, her son Denver Ball, and 7 of her siblings. The survivors she leaves behind are her daughter Donna Jean (David) Wagner, daughter-in-law Ellen Ball, and siblings Alvin (Delores) Tingler and Oleta Wilt. She also leaves her grandchildren Felicia, Kristen, Christopher, Ashley, and Sarah, 9 great-grandchildren, caregivers Susan Zentz and Debbie Ellis, as well as dear friends Marilyn Krause, Carl McDonald, and Mary Jane Burke.
Margaret was a very craft-oriented person. She made beautiful ceramic pieces and jewelry from all sorts of materials that she picked up along the way. Not only was she very craft-oriented, but she was also very family-oriented. She absolutely adored her family and the close friends that she considered to be part of it. She was a member of the Danville Southside Church of Christ. Margaret was a snowbird and always looked forward to her trips to Florida.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 11:00 am at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. The family will be receiving guests from 10:oo am until 11:00 am prior to the funeral service. Margaret will be laid to rest following services at Danville National Cemetery.
