Margaret Joan Mariage

Margaret Joan Mariage, 89 (39), of Georgetown, passed away at 5:30am, Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at North Logan Health Care Center, Danville. She was born to Clyde C. and Nora E. {Boen} Thornton on February 10, 1927, in Georgetown. On July 6, 1947, she was united in marriage to Roy Mariage in Georgetown until his passing on November 4, 2003. Margaret will be dearly missed by: her children, Randy (Annie) Mariage of Georgetown and Janice (Jerry) Stark of Olivet; grandchildren, Abbey (Ryan) Rummel, Ashley (Brandon) Blankenship, & Briana Mariage, Josh (Andrea) & Jennalee Stark; great grandchildren, Owen Mariage-Tucker, Aryann Rummel, Braelyn & Lilly Blankenship, Jaida, Jeremy, Jocelyn, & Jonah Stark, & Julianna Allison; her good friend, Noel Dugger of Georgetown; many special cousins; and several other close relatives & friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy; and special cousins. Margaret was a member of the First Church of Christ. She worked for over 35 years with Georgetown School District at Frazier School and at Mary Miller Junior High. She enjoyed doing word searches in her spare time and planting & caring for her flowers. She looked forward to having turkey and carrots with her son for lunch every day at noon. Margaret was full of love for her family and friends and will always be remembered by those whose life she touched. A celebration of Margaret's life will be held at 11:00am, Monday, September 19, 2016, at First Church of Christ, 503 N Main St, Georgetown, with Phil Miller officiating. Visitation will be held 3pm-7pm, Sunday, September 18, 2016, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in her name to First Church of Christ, Georgetown.
