Margaret Irene Boehme

Margaret Irene Boehme, 92, of Danville, passed away at 11:55pm Thursday May 4, 2017. Margaret was born in Danville, Illinois on August 25, 1924. On October 13, 1946 Margaret married the love of her life Clifford Boehme, they spent the next 64 years happily married before his passing in 2011. Margaret is survived by her grandson, Rob (Dana) Cook; granddaughter, Lisa Cook; seven great-grandchildren, Skylar Cook, Braydon Cook, Kendra Pittman, Timothy Pittman II, Jalen Pittman, Kay' Anna Pittman, Kendrick Pittman and three great great-grandchildren, Gabriella Mayfield, Graclynn Mayfield, Layla Pittman. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Esther Blanche Gouty Pool, step mother Anna Hallenburger Pool; husband; son, Robert Boehme; daughter, Rhonda (Tom) Cook; sister, Mary Lou Sacotnik; grandson, Randy Cook and great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Cook. Margaret was a very family oriented woman. Although she worked until the age of 72, spending time and taking care of her husband and family was what she loved to do. In her spare time, Margaret could be found playing the piano at church or square dancing as a member of the Frontier Twirlers. Margaret was a great woman and will be deeply missed by everyone she came in contact with. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2PM on Friday May 12, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park following the service. Visitation will be held prior to service from 1PM to 2PM at the funeral home.
