Margaret Hoggatt) Davis

Perrysville, Ind. -- Margaret(Marge Hoggatt)Davis, 83, formerly Perrysville, Indiana and a resident of Danville, Illinois for 1 month, passed away at 7:36 a.m. CST Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, Illinois. She was born March 18, 1926 in Crab Orchard, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Charles and Sally Hounschell Hoskins. She first married Everett Hoggatt on October 27, 1956 in Danville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1994. She later married John Davis on August 29, 1999 in Veedersburg, Indiana. He survives. Other survivors include: one step daughter, Joan(Rev. Kenneth)Green of Crawfordsville, Indiana; one step son, Harold(Karen)Davis of Terre Haute, Indiana; four step grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; four sisters, Sarah Rost and Louise Pospisil both of St. Cloud, Florida; Juanita(Curtis)Gordon and Lora Stanley both of New Albany, Indiana; two brothers, Lawrence Hoskins of Crab Orchard, Kentucky and Warren Curtis(Mila)Hoskins of Memphis, Indiana; two sister in laws, Lottie Hoskins of Salem, Illinois and Hazel Hoskins of Crab Orchard, Kentucky; special friend, Mariann Martin of Covington, Indiana; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Margaret was a former deputy matron at the Fountain County Jail for three years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Veedersburg Church of God. Margaret enjoyed cooking, crocheting and her church family. Funeral services: 2 p.m. EST Friday, November 6, 2009 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor David Wickens; Burial: Georgetown Cemetery, Georgetown, Illinois; Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. EST Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the funeral home.
