Margaret Fanson

Margaret A. Fanson, 72, of Gibson City, IL, formerly of Catlin, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011 at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born on September 23, 1938, in Danville, the daughter of Lloyd and Lucille (Cass) Albert. Both are deceased. On June 16, 1962, Margaret married Wesley F. Fanson in Danville. Survivors include her husband, Wesley of 47 years, one daughter, Cassandra (Ty) Harrison of Draper, VA, and one son, Doug (Tammi) Fanson of Gibson City. Also surviving her are four grandchildren, Kennedy Jo Fanson, Kellan Douglas Fanson, Tyler John Harrison, Weston James Harrison, as well as her three nieces; Jamie DeVrient, Sue Belier, and Sue Kincheloe. In addition to her parents, her sister, Betty, brother, Lloyd Jr., infant daughter, Christina , and her two nieces; Linda Rudin, and Julie Geddes preceded Margaret in death. Margaret worked at Holmes Brothers of Danville for 30 years, and also at Classic Homes as a closing agent. She loved to shop, bird watch, and enjoyed her flowers, and cats. Most of all, Margaret cherished the time she spent with her family She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother .She will be missed by all that knew her. A Celebration of Margaret Fansons Life will begin at 10:30am on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, located at 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville with Father Dennis Spies officiating. Entombment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park following the service. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-8pm on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the donors favorite charity.
