Margaret F. (Valangeon) Falletti, 83, of Westville passed away at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday October 18, 2006 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She was born on May 31, 1923 in Independence, IN, the daughter of Raymond and Ruby Read Slifer. She married Rene Valangeon on June 7, 1941 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on February 7, 1976. She later married John Falletti on January 29, 1989 in Westville. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2006. Survivors include: three sons, Mitchell (Sandy) Valangeon of Westville, Larry (Linda) Valangeon of Boise, ID, and Marc (Brenda) Valangeon of Westville; two daughters, Barbara (Dave) Cline of Westville and Laura (Greg) Styer of Westville; two step-sons, Richard (Wanda) Falletti of Danville and Michael (Sharon) Falletti of Covington; one step-daughter, Nikki (Larry) Masengale of North Carolina; one sister, Vivian (Richard) Stockdale of Tacoma, WA; one half-brother, John Slifer of Oregon; three half-sisters, Betty Burmeister of Westville, Ruby (Walt) Reid of Alabama, and Doris Smith of Washington; twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother. Margaret worked at the IGA for ten years. She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Westville. She enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, Bunco, and Euchre. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. A celebration of Margarets life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday October 21, 2006 at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Home 414 S. State St. Westville, IL. Officiating: Pastor Wade Martin. Burial: Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday October 20, 2006 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Colonial Manor Nursing Home.
