Margaret Elaine Lane

Margaret Elaine Lane, 79, of Oakwood passed away at 4:15pm on Tuesday December 18, 2018. Margaret was born in Pontiac on February 3, 1939 the daughter of William and Alice Robinson. On October 8, 1955 Margaret married the love of her life George Lane, he survives.

Margaret is also survived by her brother William Robinson of Dallas, Texas.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents William and Alice.

Margaret attended Pontiac High School and received a degree in nursing from Kankakee Community College. She was a member of the Vermilion Heights Christian Church. In the church she was the financial secretary as well as a member of the womans group The Willing Workers. She enjoyed singing and painting ornaments in the winter but when the weather was nice, she could almost always be found outside. Whether it be feeding the animals, gardening or even watching the scenery she loved being in nature. She will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of life will take place at 1pm on Saturday December 22, 2018 at Vermilion Heights Christian Church, 725 Oakwood Ave. in Danville. There will be a luncheon at the church prior to the service from 12pm to 1pm where people are free to come, eat and share their memories of Margaret.
