Margaret E. (Allison) Treslley, 94, of Danville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at 9:35 PM Friday, October 3, 2014 at her home. She was born on September 24, 1920 in Collison, IL, the daughter of Samuel and Minnie (Sitler) Selsor. She married Noel Murphy in 1940 and they divorced in 1945. She then married Homer H. Allison in 1945 in Paris, IL and later married Valentine Treslley in 1966, both preceding her in death. She will be deeply missed by her four children, Steve (Glenda) Allison of Danville, Sharon Allison of Danville, Marilyn Osborne of Casey, IL, Maxine Cotton of Danville, fourteen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one son, Charles Allison, two sisters, Gladys Selsor and Goldie Kizer, two brothers, Kenneth and William Selsor and one great granddaughter, Daishanelle Pasquale. Margaret worked at General Electric and later became an LPN where she worked at, St. Elizabeths Hospital, Lakeview Hospital, several nursing homes and private homes. She had a Shelter Care Home that she ran out of her own home on Buchanan Street for many years. She loved flowers, growing roses and caring for her family. Margaret was baptized on April 14, 1979 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Danville. The family would like to give a special thanks to Jason, Patty, Mary, Jan and Lisa from Iroquois Memorial Hospice and Dr. Sekar and Dr. Labayog. A celebration of Margarets life will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials can be made in Margarets name to the American Cancer Society.
