Danville- Margaret E. Lete, 93, of Libertyville, IL, formerly of Danville and New Holstein, WI, passed away at 8:20 PM on Tuesday March 23, 2010 at the Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She was born on February 16, 1917 in Danville, the daughter of Allen G. and Viola Spence Wilson. She married Elmer H. Lete on February 12, 1939 at St. Patricks Rectory in Danville. Surviving are daughter Sharon (Gary Thomas) Grove of Libertyville; two grandsons John (Cathy) Grove and Mark (Margo) Grove; three great grandchildren Nicholas, Ashley, and Mariel Grove; cherished nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews who she was a second grandmother to; and her special friends in New Holstein, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 5, 2006 as well as her brother and sister and her husbands brothers and sisters. Margaret was a 1935 graduate of Danville High School. She had been an Illinois Bell Telephone Operator until she decided to stay home to care for her family. She was a member of the Christian Mothers, Elkhart Lake Study Club, New Holstein Garden Club, New Holstein Civic Club, Bridge Club and the Couples Club. She loved to bake and work in her vegetable and flower garden. Margaret was a cherished person to everyone who knew her. She always had a kind word and a smile in her voice. A service to celebrate the life of Margaret E. Lete will be held at 2 PM on Monday March 29, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Father Greg Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow at Springhill Cemetery in Danville. A visitation will also be held from 1-2 PM, with family only arriving at 12:00 PM, on Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
