Danville- Margaret E. Drews, 95, of Danville passed away at 7:15 PM on Sunday April 4, 2010 at the Hawthorne Inn in Danville. She was born on September 6, 1914 in Danville to Frank and Martha Prast Huckstadt. She married Theodore Ted Drews on January 25, 1935. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1985. Surviving are one son Dave Drews of Danville; one daughter Doris (Gerald) King; four grandchildren John (Amy) Drews of Oakwood, David (Kim) King of Danville, Dan (Susan) King of Greenwood, IN, and Gary (Tomi) King of Danville; 9 great-grandchildren Zak, Rachel, Joshua, Amy, Heather, Leah, Nathan, Leo, and Gideon King; a special friend Marilyn Le Pere; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers. Margaret was famous for her pies which she baked over the years at the Friendly Caf(c), Carsons Soda Fountain, and the Sweet Shoppe of which she was co-owner. She was a member at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville and also the Lutheran Womens Guild, a former member of Altrussa, and had volunteered for the Danville Public Library Extension. She will also be remembered as the best Great-Grandma to her 9 great-grandkids. Services for Margaret will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday April 7, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville. Pastor Dan Fienen will officiate. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery in Danville. A visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Tuesday April 6 at Sunset Funeral Home and Crematory in Danville.
