Margaret Crawford

Margaret Louise Crawford, 91, of Danville, departed this life and entered into Heaven on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Hawthorne Inn of Danville. Margaret was born on June 12, 1918, in Marshfield, IN, the daughter of Charles and Lela (Adams) Jenkins. She married Ralph Crawford on October 5, 1941 at the Walnut Corner Christian Church in Bismarck. He preceded her in death on October 1, 1998. She is survived by her son, Mark (Vicki) Crawford of rural Danville. Her life was made complete with the birth of her two beloved granddaughters, Megan Diane Crawford of Huntington, IN, and Margo Lynn Crawford, attending college in Greenville, S.C. Margaret is also survived by her three nephews, Hal (Cindy) Hensel of Jacksonville, FL, Stan (Mary Kay) Seaman of Alvin, Larry (Debbie) Seaman of Danville, her niece, Julie (Mike) Potter of Potomac, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, and her best friend, Helen Snyder, preceded Margaret in death. Margaret graduated from Bismarck High School in 1937. She was a member of the Bismarck United Methodist Church, where she served as the pianist for many years. She enjoyed entertaining and was famous for her scrumpdelicious pecan pies. She loved being a farm wife, mother, and grandmother. The family greatly appreciates all the loving care given to Margaret by her friend and caregiver, Ruby Hope, of Fithian. A Celebration of Margarets Life will be held at 10:00am on Monday, March 15, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center located at 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville with Pastors Becky Laumeier and Ken Cameron officiating. Visitation will be from 2-5pm on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, Margaret will be laid to rest at Bethel Cemetery in Blount Township. Memorials may be made to the Bismarck United Methodist Church or to the Bethel Cemetery Fund.
