Margaret, Peg, Call, 88, was born on October 9th, 1935, in Terre Haute, IN to Harold and Helen Fuchs. She enjoyed an idyllic childhood with her beloved late sister Mary Ann Tyler in the historic Collett Park neighborhood and was the first member of her family to attend college. At Indiana State University she was a Chi Omega sister and earned a BS and MS in Education. It was there that she met Max Call, they enjoyed a marriage of 66 years and loved the family that they built together.
Her first teaching position was at Douglas Grade School in Danville, IL. Which is where she first made the acquaintance of her dear friend Delores Wasko Smith. However, it was the Georgetown School district where she spent most of her professional life. Peg was a dedicated instructor and cared deeply for her students and colleagues.
Peg appreciated physical activity; a dancer in her younger years she later was a staple at the Danville YMCA where she swam, did aerobics and even took up yoga in her 70s. Her favorite activity no matter the season was walking with friends on the trails of Forest Glen. She was a friend of any dog and supported the Danville Animal Shelter. In fact, there was seldom a time at home when she didnt have a dog on her lap (no matter the size).
Some of Pegs most cherished memories were her overseas trips with family and friends. She loved the adventure of new experiences and places. She was also an accomplished knitter and had a fine appreciation for antiques.
The pastime that gave her the most joy was visiting with family and friends in her backyard, while always keeping a watchful eye on plants that needed tending and the dogs that were running about. She was a gentle wise soul, and her absence leaves a vast hole in our hearts. Peg was a member of DAR, Colonial Dames and Education Associations, Georgetown Historical Society and Library.
She leaves behind a loving family, daughter Cindy Lynn Ejankowski (Bruno) of San Marcos, Tx. son Clay Wesleon Call (Sherry) of Gaylesville, AL. Grandchildren Caitlyn Iverson (Eric), Mariel Miller (Andrew) and Jacob Call Ejankowski. Great-grandchildren Alice Margaret, Louisa and Beatrice Lynn and nephews Greg and Stephen Tyler and nieces.

Burial to follow at McKendree Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday January 26, 2024, at the funeral home 10am 12pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Forest Glen Park.
