Margaret Bell

Margaret E. Bell, age 95, of Urbana, passed away at 4:20 pm on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at the Champaign County Nursing Home in Urbana. She was born February 2, 1914 in Quaker, IN the daughter of Chas C. and Sara Elizabeth (Strader) Bell. Margaret is survived by fifty-three nieces and nephews; and the two children that she helped raise that where like family to her. She was preceded in death by her parents and fourteen brothers and sisters. Margaret worked as a nanny for the Block family and worked in their ice cream shop. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and loved to read. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Alton, IL. A celebration of the life of Margaret Bell will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 27, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Ridge Farm, IL. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, February 27, 2009 at the funeral home.
