Margaret A. Stample

Margaret "Peggy" Stample, 80, of Greenville, SC, and formerly of Danville, IL, entered eternal rest Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the home of her daughter. She was born on June 22, 1931, in Potomac, IL, the daughter of George and Nell Stone. She was united in marriage to Donald Stample in 1975, in Danville, IL, until his passing on January 16, 2003. She will be missed by her brother; Robert Stone of San Francisco, CA; her children; Teresa Murphy of Greenville, SC, and Mark Mahan of Sweetwater, TN. Her step-children; Donald E. Stample of St. Petersburg, FL, Richard L. Stample of Summerville, SC, and Lorraine Finkbeiner of Virginia Beach, VA. Her grandchildren; William "Billy" Murphy of Huntsville, AL, Tiffaney Murphy of Charleston, SC, Natalia Mahan of Knoxville, TN, Chanaia Mahan of Sweetwater, TN, Everett Stample of Virginia Beach, VA, Jake Stample of Appleton WI, Bridgette, Alayna, and Meghan Stample all of Summerville, SC, her four great-grandchildren and many wonderful life-long friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Peggy worked for Bohn Aluminum in Danville for many years and for many years as a beautician in her home. Peggy enjoyed spending time with her family and favorite cat, Rue. She was an artist in stained glass work and crocheting, a master with crossword puzzles and a true woman of style. A Celebration of Peggy's Life will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, located at 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville with entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
