Marcia Maddox Gillis

Marcia Maddox Gillis, 77, of Covington, passed away at 11:20pm on Saturday April 7, 2018. Marcia was born in Sidell, IL the daughter of Boyd and Wilinore Maddox. She is survived by her sons, James (Johna) Bolton II, Gregg (Kim) Bolton, Lonnie (Lauren) Bolton, Garrett (Heather) Pierce; daughters, Fredricka Annette (Tim) Moody, Jessica (Wayne) O'Brien, brother, David (Nancy) Maddox, sister-in-law, Rinda Maddox and numerous grandchildren. Marcia is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Steven Maddox, sister, Anita Maddox, 2 grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter. Marcia graduated from Jamaica High School class of 1958. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading her bible, gardening, taking pictures, mushroom hunting and fishing. She was an excellent baker and will be deeply missed by those she loved most, her children and grandkids. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12pm on Thursday April 12, 2018 at First Church of Christ, 503 N. Main St. Georgetown. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Indianola. Visitation will be held from 11am to 12pm at the First Church of Christ. Memorial donations may be made to The First Church of Christ Georgetown Food Pantry.
